The Scales of Independent Behavior-Revised (SIB-R) is a comprehensive, norm-referenced assessment of adaptive and maladaptive behaviours used to determine a person’s level of functioning in key behaviour areas. It may be administered in a structured interview or by a checklist procedure. All items appear in each response booklet to facilitate either administration procedure. SIB‐R provides a comprehensive assessment of 14 areas of adaptive behaviour and eight areas of problem behaviour.
