Battelle Early Academic Survey (BEAS)

The Battelle Early Academic Survey measures foundational literacy and mathematics skills in children aged from 3 years 6 months to 7 years 11 months. As a holistic assessment for determining early skill proficiency, the Battelle Early Academic Survey is also ideally suited for early childhood assessment as students develop these critical skills.

The Battelle Early Academic Survey has a retest window of 4 months, supporting up to 3 assessments within the school year. BEAS is a standardized norm referenced assessment tool with a scoring platform designed to track and collect data at the student, school and district levels. It provides simple, easy to read reports identifying students who are on track, should be monitored or who require immediate intervention.
