Open Court Reading 5

Open Court Reading provides a validated foundation for the critical reading instruction students need to become fluent, proficient, and motivated readers. OCR focuses on phonemic awareness, how individual sounds work together to create spoken language, to lay the foundation children need to advance to the next step of assigning written symbols to sounds. In the Grade 5 resources, students continue to learn word analysis, develop their vocabulary, and increase the fluency, rate, accuracy, and prosody of their language.
