Vocational Interest, Experience, and Skill Assessment (VIESA)

Time: Approximately 40-45 minutes (including self-scoring)

The VIESA is a simple, untimed assessment of vocational interests, skills, and experiences offering Canadian counsellors relevant career counselling information.

  • self-scoring, and the results, place the student/client on the World-of-Work Map
  • specific career options and typical high school and post-secondary programs of study are suggested, using the Job Family Charts (supplied)
  • highly reliable, providing meaningful and relevant information to both counsellor and student/client
  • ideal for individual counselling, group sessions, orientation programs, workshops, or adult outreach programs
