The Premier's Kids Zone: History Zone
This kid-friendly Web site includes images, timelines, and fun facts about Ontario's people, premiers, provincial "firsts," and even the history of the automobile in Ontario!
Before Confederation, areas of what is now Canada were colonies ruled by Britain. This Web site is the story of how those colonies came together to become Canada, and how Canada has grown since then. The "Prelude" provides background information on Canada's early history. The "Provinces" section lists all the provinces and territories and tells when and why they became part of Canada. The "People" page tells stories of important people who helped Canada become a nation.
