Early Canadiana Online is a digital library that allows you to search more than one million pages of Canada's printed history. It features works published from the time of the first European settlers up to the early 20 th Century. By clicking on Resources in the menu on the left-hand side of the home page, you can link to Web sites about "Canada in the Making" and "Exploration, the Fur Trade , and the Hudson's Bay Company".
Pathfinders & Passageways-The Exploration of Canada
Who discovered the land we know as Canada? Many men and women contributed to the exploration of this country. This Web site presents pieces of some of the explorers' published descriptions of their travels through this new land where they met new people and strange animals. Works of art, maps and other artifacts are also included in this site.

1. Visit the Pathfinders & Passageways Web site. 2. From the menu right under the Pathfinders and Passageways title at the top of the page, click on " Explorers' Index" . Scroll down to find " Henry Kelsey" and click on it. 3. Read the article on Kelsey. 4. Create a timeline of Kelsey's life. Begin your timeline with the date of Kelsey's birth, and end it with the date of his death. Include at least five other dates on your timeline. 5.
