Forests
The Cordillera has three main vegetation regions:
Pacific maritime, montane cordillera, and boreal cordillera. Students
can click on any of these links to see pictures and read brief descriptions
of the forestry activities in these regions.
Pacific
Salmon
This Web site focuses on the Pacific salmon and
the efforts to bring back the wild salmon stocks destroyed by over-fishing,
habitat loss, and pollution. It includes a special fun page for kids where
they can learn more about salmon and ask questions and receive answers
about salmon via e-mail.
