To compare past events with events in today's Arctic, visit this page from
the Museum of Civilization Web site. It provides the opportunity to compare
global warming trends 1000 years ago with global warming today and to look
at the impact these trends have on increasing settlement in the region.
It also provides the opportunity to compare similar events in two or more
regions. Since the information on this page was not written with younger
students in mind, you may need to address the reading level by using a group
reading strategy.
