Women of Aspenland Images from Central Alberta
The Women of Aspenland Virtual Exhibit places artifacts and archival materials within a context of meaning. It is an entry point into a region in Central Alberta that is defined by its human and physical geography. More than 170 women are profiled on the site. A map provides the locations of the communities of Aspenland, and there is a search engine that allows searches using a woman's name, or a community's name. This site is also available in French.
Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village
The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is an open-air museum that was built to resemble pioneer settlements in east central Alberta. This Web site uses maps, interviews, music, photographs and more to help visitors discover and learn more about the buildings, history, and lifestyles of Alberta's early settlers.
