Cornerstones

Cornerstones is a Canadian core language arts program for grades 1-6, committed to the idea of balanced literacy. Cornerstones addresses all the strands of language arts and the various cueing systems, and ensures children are engaged in a wide variety of literacy strategies.

Cornerstones features authentic fiction and non-fiction literature, including paired selections in each anthology, customized curriculum correlations, and integrated cross-curricular links. There is also support in modifying instruction for varied abilities, ESL needs, and multiple intelligences. The strong assessment component includes actual student sample responses and numerous rubrics.
